Inspection Services
ATLANTA STRUCTURAL's inspection fees are based on the time required to complete the job, subject to a $300 minimum. The vast majority of our jobs fall in the $300 to $450 range, which includes the site inspection and written report with a Registered Professional Engineers Seal. ATLANTA STRUCTURAL does not permit billing for inspection services. All fees are paid at the time of inspection. Cash and checks and major credit cards are accepted.
Field Rate – $120 per hour
The field rate applies to the time required for the engineer to perform the inspection, discuss the findings, answer questions, and the travel time (one way) to the inspection site from our office in Marietta.
Office Rate – $80 per hour
The office rate applies to the time providing services from our office including writing reports, researching information, and performing design calculations.
Expert Services
Rate – $120 per hour.
Time providing testimony as an expert witness, giving depositions, and consulting
with clients or attorneys as well as wait time for such.
Structural Component Design or Evaluation
Beams, Girders – $200 each
Joists, Rafters – $40 each
Columns – $80 each
Footings – $80 each
ATLANTA STRUCTURAL regularly designs structural components for new construction and renovation projects. Clients are provided with a certification letter with a Registered Professional Engineers Seal that specifies what size the component needs to be as well as the design loads and applicable Code. See the Beams page for our most common design request. If a site inspection is required to discuss options and determine the loads on the proposed component, the Field Rate for Inspection Services applies subject to the $300 minimum.
Drafting Services
Rate – $45 per hour.
Time required to develop custom CAD repair or design drawings.
Design Projects
Fee – Varies
Examples include renovations, new additions, garages, and retaining walls. A PROPOSAL FOR STRUCTURAL SERVICES will be forwarded to the client for review and acceptance outlining the scope of work to be performed, fees, and terms.
Manufactured Home Foundation Inspection
Rate – Varies based on location:

Generic Repair Details
Rate – $50 each.
ATLANTA STRUCTURAL has several generic repair and construction details available for a nominal fee. The details are Code compliant and/or meet good construction practices and are professionally detailed as an CAD drawing. Note: Unless specifically recommended and provided as part of an ATLANTA STRUCTURAL report, use of the details is at your own risk and at no liability to ATLANTA STRUCTURAL.
CMU PIER
